Day Productions specializes in video and photography for weddings. We
are a boutique-style shop serving Toronto and surrounding areas (GTA).
We aim to capture the essence of your day that will mean more to you
and your family as time goes by. We want your wedding day video and
photos to be timeless treasures, true to your personalities and not
some form of torture on your unsuspecting dinner guests in the years
to come.
As storytellers, we are deeply interested in how people relate to one another. Weddings are rich with relationship layers; not just between the newlyweds, but between other members of the family and their friends as well. We treat each new wedding like our first and always feel honoured and privileged to be included on such special days. We create family heirlooms. They are not expensive, they are priceless!
We are greatly influenced by CINEMA VERITE, the 1950’s French New Wave that strove for realism with as little intervention as possible. It was all about capturing the drama of real life. Our kind of camera work is “anticipate & respond”. There are no second takes. Our shooting style is all about searching for atmosphere & metaphors, rather than about space. The shot that defines the wedding video is the one that makes us react most strongly. It's never the most impressive shot - it's always the most insightful one. We are Steadicam certified & our camera will float with mobility and intimacy, allowing us to penetrate the heart of the story seamlessly.
